The AJMS Privacy Policy explains how the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), publisher of the Asian Journal of Managerial Science, may collect, use, protect, share, retain, and respond to requests concerning personal information used in journal and publishing activities.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how a person interacts with AJMS, information may include name and contact details, affiliation and country, research interests, ORCID or similar researcher identifiers, manuscript and submission metadata, peer-review and editorial records, billing or payment-related information, and technical or account data reasonably generated through use of the journal website or editorial platform.

2. Purposes for Using Personal Information

Personal information may be used to create and manage accounts; administer manuscript submission, peer review, editorial assessment, production, publication, and archiving; communicate with authors, reviewers, editors, and readers; issue invoices or process payments; register DOIs and distribute publication metadata; maintain publication-integrity and security records; send legitimate journal communications under the Direct Marketing Policy; and respond to applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

3. Storage and Security

CRI uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect personal information from accidental loss, alteration, deletion, unauthorised access, or unauthorised disclosure. Access should be limited to people who require information for legitimate journal, publishing, technical, financial, or administrative functions. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should take reasonable steps to protect account credentials.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

Personal information is not sold or traded as a commercial list. Information may be shared where necessary for legitimate journal operations, including manuscript handling, DOI registration, indexing and discovery, digital preservation, payment processing, technical hosting or support, legal compliance, or the handling of serious research-integrity and security concerns.

5. Confidential Manuscripts and Peer Review

Submitted manuscripts, protected reviewer identities, reviewer reports, editorial correspondence, and unpublished research information are confidential and should be shared only with authorised individuals or service providers involved in legitimate editorial or publishing functions. 6. Cookies and Website Functionality

The AJMS website or editorial platform may use cookies or similar technologies for account access, security, session management, website functionality, and user experience.

AJMS may use or link to external services that operate under their own privacy notices and terms. Users should review the applicable information provided by those services when personal information is processed outside the AJMS website.

8. Children

AJMS does not knowingly seek children’s personal information for journal publishing services.

9. Retention

Personal information and publishing records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary for journal operations, scholarly-record integrity, contractual, accounting, security, preservation, legal, or research-integrity purposes.

10. Requests Concerning Personal Information

Subject to applicable law and legitimate scholarly-record requirements, individuals may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction concerning certain personal information. Requests may be subject to identity verification and to lawful or necessary retention of publishing records.

11. Changes to this Policy

AJMS may update this Privacy Policy when journal processes, legal requirements, technologies, or service arrangements change. Material changes should be reflected on the journal website.
